As a kid, Halloween was always a blast. I enjoyed many trips to pumpkin patches, corn mazes, haunted houses and most importantly … trick or treating! Every year I wanted to decorate my house as scary as I could and have the best costume.
In my opinion, we were always competing to have the spookiest house on the block. We would have a fog machine running through a cooler to keep the fog low to the ground and hover around our makeshift graveyard. After the first few kids who dared to approach the house, I was ready to begin the hunt for the great bag of candy. I had a relatively small neighborhood but most of the time I wouldn’t be able to make it to all the houses.
After a long night of terrifying fun, it was time for my parents to check my candy. This is when mysteriously half of my candy would disappear. Despite the minor setback, Halloween was a fun time for me to enjoy being with my family and friends. These are memories I will cherish for a lifetime.
